Coaching to Improve Teaching and Learning
Developing independent and resilient learners to make more progress
Ofsted expects to see rapid academic progress, and industry demands that schools produce more confident, resilient individuals – so how can schools deliver the new progress measures and start producing the right kind of learners?
One of the added benefits of a coaching approach is the way in which the skills and habits of coaching become integrated into classrooms so that students can learn to coach each other. This improves peer assessment and response to feedback, helping students to take more responsibility for their progress.
This unique course is designed and delivered by inspirational trainer, successful author and former Headteacher Jackie Beere OBE. It will be based on her books, Choose to Grow and The Perfect Teacher Coach which integrate Carol Dweck’s theory on mindset with Jackie’s experience of developing coaching in schools that works for teachers.
